Avocados don't taste good if they're too hard or too soft, so picking them at the peak of ripeness can be tricky. An underripe avocado is like biting into a raw potato, while an overripe one is mushy and black. You should
only refrigerate an avocado if it's ripe but not ready to use yet. That way you'll have a few extra days to spare.
14. Berry
Picked berries don't keep well, so buy them on the day you want them instead of storing them.
Still, if you plan on storing berries for a few days, we recommend storing them in the refrigerator rather than on the counter. Many will go moldy quickly if they get wet, so don't wash the whole carton before storing them.
