Located on France's Atlantic coast, the Passage du Gau is a famous natural wonder: a causeway that connects Beauvoir-sur-Mer to Noirmoutier. The causeway is flooded twice a day by high tides. It's an incredible example of the ferocity of nature. The length of the road (4.5 km) makes it even more dangerous if you get caught in a flood, as you won't be able to reach dry land before the entire stretch is chest-deep in water.
