Although it had good bomber characteristics, the Dresden 152 was not a real aircraft: two flights in the test series resulted in accidents that killed the entire crew. It was the only aircraft ever built by East Germany.

The first type of aircraft must have been a difficult concept to design. You would have thought that in the 1970s the best airlines wouldn't pull such nonsense. But you'd be wrong. The Rockwell XFV-12 never gained traction, despite its unique design.
