Among our most expensive breeds are domestic cats such as the Bengal cat. It was developed to look wild, and therefore looks like an ocelot or a leopard. This is not surprising due to the fact that it has been crossed with the Asian leopard cat. Despite what many believe, the Bengal cat no longer has the temperament of a wild cat. The Asian leopard cat is a wild cat that lives in South and East Asia. It was a purely accidental event that led to the existence of the Bengal cat. Although it looks like a wild cat, its temperament is similar to that of a house cat, since it was a cross with a domestic cat. The Asian Leopard Cat was crossed with a domestic cat to determine whether it had any apparent immunity to feline leukemia.
