Originally designed for the European market, Honda began producing one of the fastest motorcycles in 1984, but things changed quickly and the model was sold only in Europe from 1984 onwards. As sales increased, the model was sold not only in Europe, but also in the US, where at that time this iron beast reached an absolute record of 240 km/h, which attracted the interest of Western buyers.
